How to use Tchourai (Incense)
- Find a safe and well-ventilated area to burn the tchourai. A heat resistant dish or incense burner will work well.
- If using a burner, place a layer of sand or ash at the bottom to absorb heat and prevent direct contact with the charcoal.
- Use a pair of tongs to hold a piece of quick-light charcoal. Ignite it using a lighter or candle flame. The charcoal will start to spark and emit smoke.
- Allow the charcoal to burn for a
few minutes until a layer of grayish-white ash forms on the surface. This indicates that the charcoal is ready for the next step. - Gently place a some of the tchourai on top of the layer of ash on the charcoal.
- As the tchourai touches the hot
charcoal, it will start to release fragrant smoke. Enjoy the delightful aroma as it spreads through the air. - Always supervise the burning
process and keep an eye on the charcoal to prevent any accidents. Ensure that the burner is on a stable surface and away from flammable materials, pets, and
children. - Once you're done enjoying the
fragrance, let the charcoal burn out completely. You can use tongs to carefully dispose of the charcoal remains.
